We created this Catalog Automation FAQ because you all have a lot of questions since our offer is quite exotic. Not many actors in the Machine Learning nor the e-Commerce industries have robots supposed to run a big chunk of your online tasks.

How it works?

How can we work together?

The implementation steps are covered in one nice slide show but be sure we will be walking along with you before our bots start running.

This slide show was made by our CEO, Martijn Duynstee

Mash’n Learn Company Introduction Jan 2017

How frequently should our content be updated by your bot?

You don’t have to refresh content everyday, but every week is interesting. We talk about how refreshing product descriptions can be good for your organic search result.

Pricing, Cost and other Budget related questions?

It is expensive, how can it be profitable for us to use your suite?

You don’t buy our technology at its license cost, but for the profit it will generate by increasing organic sales while reducing overhead (human workload).

Knowing that it would take months to do what our bot is doing for your e-Commerce Product Catalog, you don’t only get a raised profit, but also the quickest possible time-to-market.

Delivery questions

Can you work with my outdated techno?

I don’t want you to modify our current Product Pages, how can we work together without having your dirty hands in my 2002 aspx code?

Relax, we have the perfect solution for your: a “pumper” e-Commerce website we’ll pop up in a few hours.

Using the WordPress/WooCommerce technology, we will put up a full catalog with our product descriptions. We will tag the backlinks to your existing legacy e-Commerce website so we can clearly analyse and identify the performance of our generated descriptions.

Data Enrichment

Where does the Bot get information from?

The bot gets data from any available source, from the Brand Manufacturer site to Amazon. Depending on the data source, a Data Accuracy score is assigned so we can establish the quality.

How accurate Mash’n Learn can be at getting Data

As a Data Accuracy score is assigned to each data the Bot mines from the web, so we can assign an overal quality for every single product we Data enrich.

In average, depending on the industry, 70% of the products have a 100% quality. The 30% remaining have to be reviewed.

Magic behind the Product questions

You say you can launch my Catalog in German in a few days but we had so many issues with Google Translate…

I know, it’s a rhetorical question but it’s coming every time we push our clients to start selling in different languages. What you have to know is that only the attributes values are translated. The target language description template is built from scratch with the help of a local translater.

This way, your description will never look like being translated with Google Translate or any other automatic online translator.

What does IBM Watson have to do with your bots?

IBM Watson helps our bots to think really fast when writing articles and descriptions. IBM Watson also helps us analysing the text emotions when using the open data contents with its Alchemy Language API.

Does it integrate with…?

Does it integrate with WooCommerce?

Yes indeed, the Product storage technology is actually built on the WooCommerce template. So whatever your shop is a Magento, DemandWare, BigCommerce or Prestashop, it will most probably use WooCommerce and Yoast to validate the Product Page SEO.

Can I use it as Product Information Management (PIM)?

We don’t brag much about it, but our Mash’n Learn suite is a PIM with service buses for inbound and outbound communication.

We pull data from ERP into our PIM repository so our bots can do their Natural Language Generation job in a central database.

When we install our bots in your organisation, we kick off the project by rationalizing your product data. To use our suite at its full extent, we need to enrich data to fit all the required informations that Marketplaces (Amazon, CDiscount, etc.) and Certifications (GS1) could require from you.

Therefore, since our tools need structured data to perform, we always start by installing a PIM.
